An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Manager to work in a diverse management role within the rural facilities team in Derbyshire.  The successful candidate will be working predominantly on a growing rural and residential property portfolio of national significance as part of a small team dedicated to high profile operational clients. As the Asset Manager you must be able to work both independently and within a busy team. This is an exciting role which, in addition to traditional property management, will also offer the successful candidate the opportunity to take on challenging projects from property acquisition to a successful letting with advice to the client on the most appropriate form of letting, refurbishment and return on investment for the client.

RICS or ARLA membership is preferred.

Asset Manager Key Duties

The key activities for this role are to have knowledge, ability and experience of:

  • The rural and residential property market and letting process
  • Knowledge and understanding of residential / rural sector legislation
  • Management of a diverse and highly active portfolio
  • Compliance requirements of managed property
  • Refurbishment of a range of property types to a lettable standard
  • Rent reviews and lease renewals.
  • Instructing contractors and awareness of managing the CDM 2015 process
  • Work within strict client processes and identify improvements and efficiencies
  • Building a strong relationship with the client and report to them professionally
  • Assist the client manager in development of relationships with clients and tenants.

Asset Manager Requirements:

  • Rural and residential property management knowledge
