Maintenance Engineer

Expired

Job Description:

My client is a family owned chemical engineering company looking for a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their engineering team based in Hungerford.

The Maintenance Engineer role will require someone who is comfortable working on both team PPM and emergency breakdown; as well as taking ownership for their own electrical projects around the site. The successful Maintenance Engineer will work Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 (15:45 finish on a Friday) and get the chance to work with a great team with exceptionally low turnover.

As the ideal maintenance engineer you will;

  • Have strong electrical skills within a plant/industrial environment and have a can-do approach; always looking for solutions to practical problems
  • Happy undertaking daily maintenance activities, planned preventative maintenance and managing your own small projects around the site
  • Be comfortable with maintaining a plant/industrial environment (indoor and outdoor work, some work at height) and with it being a small team you will need to be comfortable with mechanical maintenance (however training will be provided where required).

The company are looking to bring the site up to date and as such 17th/18th/19th edition is desirable but not essential; however all electrical work will need to be signed off externally so a strong understanding of current legal requirements is essential.
