THE ROLE
We are looking to recruit an experienced Arboricultural Contracts Manager with the right attitude and skills to lead, develop and motivate the arb team. With an excellent work ethic and the ability to look at the bigger picture, you will be leading by example as part of the ‘Top 10 UK Specialist Arboriculture Businesses 2019’, Horticulture Week.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Based in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, your role will encompass:
• Pricing, planning and managing projects and imparting your knowledge to climbers and apprentices.
• Line management of your team and responsibility for maintaining their work schedules
• Using our modern and extensive kit, your experienced teams will be undertaking a wide variety of interesting and challenging work in and around the home counties
• Managing and advising clients effectively for their budget allocations, developing their sites with an environmental focus
• Alongside general tree works, you will be managing large biodiversity improvement projects and will work with clients to plan and deliver arboricultural works that benefit the environment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years industry experience
• Landscape and environmental industry knowledge
• Experience of required industry legal standards and an understanding of industry terminology
• Full clean driving licence
• Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety and environmental regulations
• Line management experience
• Excellent IT skills

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
• Experience working with water companies, wetlands and ecologically focussed areas
• Experience of working with local authorities
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS

THE PACKAGE

• Fulltime - 40 hours a week
• 20 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays increasing annually in line with service anniversary
• £35,000-£45,000 per annum DOE
