Functional Test Engineer

An exciting opportunity to join a global company, which provides; test fixtures, test software, test systems, service and support to electronic manufacturers worldwide, across the telecommunications, automotive, avionics, medical, computer and consumer goods industries.

This role requires someone who is able to work to deadlines and has the ability to use their own initiative.

Job Specification

You will:

 Report to the Functional Test Manager

 Have responsibility for software and hardware aspects of Functional Test projects

 Design & develop functional test solutions using NI LabVIEW and TestStand

 Install completed solutions on the customer’s site (National and International locations)

 Experience of customer facing communications

 Good communication skills

 Excellent attention to detail

 The ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines

 The ability to work independently and efficiently

 A good understanding of Electronics

 Good understanding of electrical safety

 A good understanding of Electronic Test Equipment and Instrumentation

 Programming experience

 Experience of NI LabVIEW & TestStand

 Experience of functional test techniques

 Be self-motivated

 Awareness of company health and safety requirements

 Good safety philosophy
