Overview

Our client is a highly regarded and well-established technical consultancy who work with clients in the renewable energy and waste sectors, specializing in the provision of design, environmental, intellectual and engineering services to financial institutions, owner-operators and developers. They now require a Senior Environmental Consultant to work on technical projects nationally.

Role

• Undertake environmental permitting work for power generation projects as part of a team of seven environmental permitting and air quality consultants
• Manage a number of projects concurrently
• Compile strong technical reports compliant with environmental legislation
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Membership of IEMA, CIWEM or similar
• Have experience working with all aspects of environmental permitting and planning
• A solid understanding of environmental law both in the UK and internationally and the practical application of such legislation
• Experience in producing, reviewing and delivering high quality technical reports and models for clients
• Prior experience of interfacing effectively with clients, government agencies and on occasion the general public
• Professional communication & interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently as required but also as part of a wider project engineering team
• The ability to travel for project purposes in the UK, Ireland and occasionally further afield
