Job Description:
Paterson Recruitment are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager for our client, a leading Travel Management company based in Aylesbury.
Primary Purpose of the Business Development Manager role:-
You will be responsible for leading efforts to establish and retain business growth opportunities. The primary purpose of the position is to obtain new clients and foster business relationships to increase revenue from sales. Our client’s owner and employees are strongly focused on sharing a sense of solidarity and long-term commitment for their customers. There is a strong teamwork culture and the support provided create an environment where their employees can flourish and advance their skills and careers.
Business Development Manager Duties:-
- Leading the Sales and Marketing Department
- Assessing team performance when it comes to business growth and client acquisition and sales.
- Maintaining relationships with staff and keeping up to date on their work progress
- Writing reports and analysing relevant business data
- Presenting findings to the team and executive members of staff
- Assuming responsibility for the success or failure of strategic decisions
- Promoting a culture of growth through sales across the business
- Educating team members on best business practices and techniques for increasing effectiveness.
- Finding new clients and promoting sales to them
- Being knowledgeable about products and services offered by the business
- Selling products and services in person and over the phone
- Raising the company profile by attending expositions and seminars etc
- Being aware of market trends and competitors
- Complying with regulations and laws of business applicable to HR and sales and marketing within the department
- Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients to grow the business.
Business Development Manager skills and qualifications:-

- Report writing skills
- Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
- Computer literate
- Must hold a clean driving licence
