2nd Line Technical Support Engineer


This is a unique opportunity for an IT Technical Support Engineer to join the World Leader in the Enterprise Backup & Recovery Software market. You will be part of a market-leading organisation who is changing the future of the backup industry!

Our client are looking for Engineer’s who love to problem solve tricky technical challenges, share knowledge with peers and want the opportunity to develop their career in one the world’s most exciting IT markets!  

A day in the life…

This position will see you join our client’s Enterprise IT Technical Support Team. You will be responsible for providing technical support to their EMEA based customers facing different technical challenges on a daily basis.

You will need to use your IT Infrastructure troubleshooting skills to help their customers resolve issues around their products and other technologies such as; Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, Storage, Messaging and Backup!  

Our client are looking for an Engineer who can progress into one of their Principal Level Support Teams in 6-12 months giving you a huge opportunity for growth and progression!

What we are looking for!

  • Can demonstrate solid IT troubleshooting skills and loves to get stuck into tricky technical cases!
  • Has the ability to think quickly on your feet and can demonstrate strong prioritisation skills.
  • Can demonstrate a desire to learn and develop your technical skills further!
  • Experience in technical support or administration with Windows Server 2012 upwards.
  • Experience technical support or administration with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience working in virtual environments wither either VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience working with a Backup technology such as: Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup/BackupExec, Avamar or a similar products.
  • Any experience working with SAN or NAS systems would be beneficial but not essential.
