Our client is a well-funded energy start-up. They are working on existing and new projects that are transforming the Energy Industry.

You will be joining this growing, collaborative team at an exciting phase in the company’s evolution. The company is preparing for expansion in 2020 and beyond and there is not a better time to join.

 

About the role

 

  • We’re looking for a full-stack developer to join our clients existing team as they scale, maintain and improve their platform and deliver other new innovations in smart energy.
  • The tech stack includes VueJS, Python, Django, PostgreSQL. It is comprised of a single-page app and a backend running on a serverless infrastructure.
  • You will work on building and deploying new features with support from a cross-functional team of developers, designers and product managers.
  • You will help manage and maintain our continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • You’ll have the freedom to split your time between our bright, modern office in central London or work remotely for a few days a week once you’re up to speed.

 

About You

Ideally you will meet several the following criteria:

 

  • You have been building web applications professionally for over 2 years.
  • You have experience of Python, Django, PostgresSQL, Ansible, Docker, Javascript.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (we have an AWS-hosted serverless infrastructure, with continuous integration and delivery).
  • You are a strong communicator and take pleasure from understanding complex technical concepts and sharing them with your peers.
  • You are committed to good practices for continuous delivery including code reviews, testing and documentation.
  • You are motivated to accelerate the growth of the smart energy grid and excited to join a growing team.
  • Experience in small start-up environments.
  • You have an interest in the infrastructure and the operations side of software development.
  • Understanding of the energy industry, from the perspective of suppliers, regulator or the networks.
