THE COMPANY:

With an ever-increasing product portfolio, this organisation is future proofing the expansion they are going through with an additional team member to take responsibility for a number of key product areas. Therefore, this exciting role has just been newly created for an experienced product development manager.

THE ROLE OF A PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:

As a product development manager, you will be getting stuck into a huge variety of tasks and responsibilities all with the aim of working from cradle to grave across product groups, with the objective of increasing growth and sales.

Some of the parts of your role will include:

• Global new product development
• Delivery of all new product development, driving the end-to-end process across the business
• Identifying, researching, developing and launching new products
• Catalogue / Cross-referencing control / being an expert in the electronics product group
• Pricing & technical related queries
• Analysing sales performance and reacting where necessary
• Operational and stock control
• Range analysis
• Promotions
• Liaising with suppliers in the Far East (and also visiting them)

This is a role where you will be heavily relying on your electrical and electronic knowledge as you are at the heart of new products being developed and launched. Given the freedom to build your categories as you see fit ensuring that you remain competitive and ahead of the curve in the marketplace.

EXPERIENCE IDEALLY REQUIRED FOR A PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:

Ideally you will hold:

• A degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with product development

Alongside this you will also be travelling abroad and visiting suppliers / designers / manufacturers in the far east and you should be comfortable being away from home once or twice per quarter.
