Technical Account Manager – Distributed Energy

Our client is a leading energy technology company with a vision to simplify distributed energy for global sustainability impact. They are currently looking for a Technical Account Manager to join their team.

The Account Manager will be responsible for further improving the company’s client retention rate, increasing revenue per client and growing the relationship with clients across their distributed energy portfolio. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve the entire customer experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Managing the client lifecycle, including milestone events such as contract renewals
  • Identifying, qualifying and closing up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within the portfolio - including assistance from direct sales staff to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Measure and improve Net Promoter score within the live portfolio
  • Lead the client engagement agenda including events, e-shots/newsletter, satisfaction surveys and mail campaigns and prepare reports on account status
  • Develop and implement a voice-of-customer programme, with twice-yearly participation
  • To collate, summarise and act on voice-of-customer feedback
  • To draft, finalise and publish the Account Management process in collaboration with the strategic initiative lead
  • Co-ordinate with other teams to ensure that Account Management processes are integrated and run smoothly and efficiently across the company
  • Point of contact for all account management matters incl. challenging requests or issue escalations
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet account management sales quotas
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)

 

Requirements

  • Highly motivated and driven individual enthusiastic about green energy and technology
  • Experience with electrical systems
  • Commercially aware – excellent listening, communication, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • First rate customer management skills, coupled with strong listening and communications skills
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, KAM, Sales Account Manager or relevant role
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-level
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management activities at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
