As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for executing E&I maintenance safely within schedule, budget and to standards.
You will execute planned and preventative maintenance on a range of instrumentation during plant turnarounds, including isolations, removal and reinstatement, calibration and repair.
In addition, you will execute maintenance on a range of industrial process electrical equipment including isolation, disconnection, removal and reinstatement of items such as large motors, variable speed drives and motor starters.
You will be responsible for annual proof testing of Safety lnstrumented Systems (SIS) on plants across the site and for carrying out maintenance where identified in line with our procedures.
Furthermore, you will respond to and carry out reactive maintenance on Electrical and Instrumentation equipment in the event of a breakdown during days.
Finally, you will attend training, meetings and will also maintain your individual competency record.
You have completed an apprenticeship with 3+ years’ experience in executing industrial E&I maintenance and demonstration of respective skills.
You have a comprehensive knowledge of E&I standards and procedures, especially around Safety lnstrumented Systems and ATEX.
As well as this knowledge, you have a good knowledge of specifics of a chemical production site.
Finally, you have good communication skills, are fluent in English as well as PC literate.
Working as a team of 5 technicians
Monday – Friday working hours only
Handling plant shut downs (30-40 pieces of equipment) and general instrumentation.
Working out on production plant - climbing ladders, heavy lifting (manual lifting)
