Our client is the governing body of the historic centre of London. Dedicated to supporting a sustainable City, they are currently searching for a Senior Energy Engineer.

In the role, you’ll be helping to manage the journey towards net zero carbon, as well as identifying and driving a pipeline of energy projects. You’ll be working across a large and diverse London property portfolio that includes Tower Bridge, Old Bailey, and the Barbican Arts Centre.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, analysis and energy surveys to identify energy projects and savings opportunities with a supporting business case.
• Provide technical consultancy to major projects teams on energy efficient and sustainable design.
• Present a pipeline of energy projects for funding applications.
• Develop technical specifications for tendering purposes.
• Investigate and validate new technologies and opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 6 years’ experience in technical energy management in a corporate environment – this could be as an in-house role or Consultant.
• Sound knowledge of energy reduction technologies and the practical application of first principles engineering.
• An energy engineering related qualification or accreditation is highly desirable.
• Experience of delivering energy management services and outcomes in a corporate environment.
• Skilled in technical analysis, project identification and presentation.
• Strong IT skills in MS Office or similar, and proficient in the use of Energy and Carbon data management software databases and BMS systems.
