Job Description:

Our client a telco solutions provider are seeking the experience of a Project Manager for a 12 month contract.  Based in Reading this contract will be starting ASAP.

As a Project Manager you will be required to:

  • Work as an effective team member within a challenging, delivery focused organisation to ensure the timely delivery of software/services that meet and potentially exceed Client expectations
  • Provide a point of contact for the Client (internal and external) during project delivery phase;
  • Adhere to current industry best practices at all times and communicate and enforce such standards
      o Ensure company policies, procedures and processes are followed
      o Consistently deliver high-quality projects, products and services to clients
  • Working knowledge of applying Agile project management principles
  • A good understanding of network technologies; an understanding/appreciation of mobile technologies/infrastructure would be advantageous, but not essential.

Candidates require a broad range of technical experience to be considered for this challenging role.

  • Responsible for the planning, management, financials and co-ordination of internal and client-focused projects
  • Attend client meetings, stand-ups as required
  • Agree project objectives, timescales and resources
  • Draw up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of the project
     o Represent both internal and client's interest
     o Provide independent advice on the management of projects
     o Organise the various resources working on the project
     o Liaise with different teams across the business
  • Ensure that each stage of the project is progressing on time and on budget
  • Ensure information security requirements and risks are included within the internal and customer project initiation documentation
  • Keep track of the project progress and resources
     o Report regularly on progress internally and to the client
     o Provide written documentation to describe project progress
  • Administrative activities associated with project management including risk & issue log, outstanding activities and project plans
