Cleaning Manager Churchill Hospital

 

We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Manager to lead the domestic workstream within the G4S Facilities Manager portfolio of Churchill Hospital. The Churchill Hospital is a centre of excellence for cancer services and other specialities, including renal services and transplants.

 

G4S Facilities Management aims to improve the lives of people across the UK and Ireland by creating productive, safe and smooth working environments. At G4S we are used to working in critical and secure environments. G4S FM has extensive experience across a wide range of Public Sector facilities.

 

This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day cleaning and meal services. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in managing a cleaning service delivery within a PFI and/ or health care environment. You will be an advocate of solid processes and procedures, in order to ensure that the team are meeting and exceeding contractual KPI's and SLA's. This role will play a key part in supporting the G4S FM safety improvement plan in raising awareness and improving the culture across the portfolio.

 

To be successful in this role you will need proven experience of managing a team of 90+ within a 24/7 operation and offer support to other soft services functions in the Managers absence.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

 

  • Attendance is required at a weekly performance management meeting with the trust and SPV (Client)

  • To develop, improve and maintain an exceptionally strong working relationship with the Trust, client contacts, subcontractors, suppliers and G4S staff

  • To manage and allocate resources to meet daily delivery schedules and business requirements for these services within the prescribed budget

  • To work closely with the Trust and client, offering and sharing advice & knowledge, taking a joined up approach in relation to FM service delivery

  • To lead and develop a multi skilled team to meet both the Trust, client and operational demands

  • To ensure that robust procedures and processes are in place and adhered to in order to maintain staffing levels appropriate to contractual requirements.

  • To assist the Head of Soft Services in managing the departmental budget and the collating of monthly and annual reports for ultimate submission to the client outlining; activities, achievements and general operational performance for the reporting period
