Our Client is looking for an experienced Tenancy Management Advisor to work on a 35 hour per week contract role to start on the 24-07-17 until the 29-09-17 with a likely extension.
Hours are: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Tenancy Management Advisers will be responsible for supporting Team Leaders and Housing Services Managers on service delivery and development and, where appropriate statutory and professional accountabilities.
Tenancy Management Advisers will be responsible to the Team Leader and the Housing Services Manager for achieving agreed performance outcomes and standards, which will be reviewed, on at least an annual basis.
Tenancy Management Advisers will be expected to be committed to Homes for Islington’s ‘Core Principles and Key Aims’ and must demonstrate this commitment in the way they carry out their duties and responsibilities.
Primary Job Role:
To assist the Team Leader and Housing Services Manager in providing an effective service to tenants and leaseholders in the Area. To provide a tenancy management service, tenancy enforcement, void control and setting up new tenancies, interviewing service users and dealing with enquiries and complaints.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience of providing advice and practical assistance to the public in the social housing field / or equivalent
A Housing qualification.
Experience of working in, and delivering services to, a multi-cultural community.
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:
To be numerate and literate applicable to the requirements of the post.
Ability to deal with correspondence from a wide group of people and agencies in all aspects of Tenancy management.
Ability to monitor services provided by other contractors working in the area and taking corrective action where appropriate.
Ability to deliver a tenancy service in an environment of user participation and involvement including working outside normal office hours.
Ability to conduct effective interviews with all users of the housing service.
Ability to ensure effective use of information technology, including word processing, in order to input and extract information
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to the provision of high quality services within the provisions of Homes for Islington’s Dignity for All framework.
Ability to think creatively in order to anticipate and solve problems, and to take corrective action where necessary.
Ability to adopt a flexible approach to team working, be self-motivated and to be able to demonstrate an ability to work on your own initiative.

Ability to meet performance targets.
