Job Description:

Support Technician 

Profectus Recruitment is looking to recruit a Support Technician who will assist our client as their business continues to expand.

The main job responsibilities include first line customer support and infrastructure maintenance in a Microsoft Office SharePoint environment. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, and working as a part of a committed team.

The successful candidate will have a passion for working with technology, be able to work well with others and have a “can-do” attitude. After appropriate training you will be expected to participate in our standby and call out support rota.

Some of the main duties you could be expected to complete include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • First point of call for customer support issues.
  • Management of SLA's end-end.
  • Appropriate escalation of support issues (e.g. bugs, infrastructure issues, raising Microsoft Support tickets).
  • Disaster recovery testing and refinement.
  • Branch office technical support (maintenance, troubleshooting)
  • Client deployments and upgrades.
  • Other responsibilities as defined from time to time, potentially including ASP.NET /C# development.
  • Data input as and when required.

Ideally you will have:

  • Good general level of IT knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • An aptitude for problem solving and team working skills
  • Good communication skills
  • A good telephone manner

This position would be ideal for anyone who has any knowledge or previous experience working supporting bespoke software and really looking to take the next step in their career. Further to that, this position would also be a good fit for anyone that has any software knowledge and looking to get into a career supporting Software.
