The role will deliver the following:

• Drafting permanent notices and traffic management orders (TMOs);
• Reviewing detailed engineer drawings for permanent TMOs;
• Checking and processing permanent TMOs;
• Overseeing public consultation and liaising with key stakeholders;
• Providing legal advice as to the processes required for implementation of any TMO;
• In-depth understanding of regulations and legislation.

The candidate should have the following skill set:

• A good knowledge of traffic and parking legislation and in-depth knowledge of Traffic Order making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good IT skills and the ability to manage software packages and databases.
• Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines, and work well under pressure in a busy and demanding environment.
• The ability to manage the TMO service including financial monitoring.
