Our client is a leading energy and environmental consultancy specialising across onshore and offshore renewables.

As part of their ongoing development, they currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Offshore Wind Consultant to join their well-established and high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will manage electrical engineering projects on behalf of offshore wind developers and investors in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert analysis and advice to clients relating to electrical design
• Advise on, and carry out, scoping projects
• Develop a programme of works for the development of offshore wind farms
• Take responsibility for business development activities, including (but not limited to) writing proposals, meeting with potential clients and leading engineering teams.

Requirements

• Engineer with >5 years (Senior) or >10 years (Principal) experience in the electrical design of offshore wind farms
• Deep understanding of the offshore wind industry and a complete understanding of the technical and commercial challenges of wind projects
• Inspired by the worldwide energy transition away from fossil fuels
• An effective communicator with demonstrable commercial, business developments and leadership skills
• Hold a relevant engineering degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering (MEng preferred).
