About the Role 

  • The Pricing Analyst will need to ensure the pricing models are accurate to ensure the business remains competitive in the marketplace whilst covering all costs and risks associated with supplying energy to a wide range of customers.
  • To be considered you will have a good understanding of pricing, costing and tariffs and have previously developed pricing models for an energy supplier.
  • In addition, the analyst will develop the company’s analytics capability in order to better inform business decisions moving forward.

  • We’ll work with customers to reduce their energy consumption through providing advice, services and affordable energy saving products
  • We’ll grow the electricity and gas supplied direct from renewable sources by 10% year on year
  • We will demonstrate that a business can be profitable in addition to pursuing social and environmental outcomes as part of its mission
  • 10% of profits will be donated to charity (split evenly between local, national and international causes)

 

The Pricing Analyst Responsibilities

  • Ensure all costs are priced accurately across electricity and gas
  • Build/improve robust pricing models to predict future price changes and risks
  • Develop/improve pricing methodologies to mitigate risks whilst ensuring competitiveness
  • Management of renewable certificate positions and optimisation
  • Support sales and internal teams with regards to systems and product propositions
  • Implement analytics manipulating large data sets to provide detailed MI to management
  • Identify improvements to processes between Commercial Operations and other teams
  • Manage and build on relationships with key internal stakeholders

 

The Pricing Analyst Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to deal effectively with queries and build relationships
  • Initiative to propose solutions and to take independent action
  • Excellent IT skills; VBA/SQL/Python would be beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all areas of work
  • Initiative to propose solutions and to take independent action
  • Able to prioritise workload in a busy and challenging landscape
  • Previous experience in the energy industry
  • Relevant statistical and modelling experience would be beneficial
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or commensurate work experience
