Job Description:
Our Client is one of world’s leading designers and manufacturers of electro chlorination plant and equipment serving oil & gas, power, desalination, general industrial and municipal industries. Our products are used across a wide range of industries for the treatment of large quantities of water to prevent bio fouling.
We are recruiting a Stock Controller & Inventory Co-ordinator. This role will suit a person who is happy to be involved where required within the business, a person who is happy to join in in the warehouse as well as office based duties.
You must have:
- Efficient stock management
- Efficient goods in and out co-ordination
- Effective workshop housekeeping and health and safety
- Essential knowledge and hands on experience of stock management disciplines in a small company
- Essential knowledge and experience of handling the logistical process of receipt and despatch of components in an engineering company/environment
- Essential computer literacy in Office, particularly Excel
- Preferably skill and experience in managing a computerised stock system
- Preferably a practical problem solving mind-set and inclination.
- Preferably experience of having worked in an engineering workshop
Goods Inward Process Control and Shipping
- Check deliveries against stock orders and where necessary record discrepancies in the Stock System.
- Locate parts to the appropriate workshop bin location, ensuring that deliveries are placed in the goods outwards or appropriate designated area.
- Visually inspect parts on delivery.
- Ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed receipting delivery of goods.
- Check current certificates have been supplied
- Label and photograph goods received and repack for dispatch
- Create shipping documents such as packing lists, invoices, certificates of origin and export licences etc.
- Support Spares manager in arranging goods import and export, assisting Projects Team when required
Stock Management
- Maintain and update the spare parts database
- Ensure all existing workshop parts and materials for all builds are in their correct locations.
- Ensure that all incoming stock is located properly.
- Check off physical stock present.
- Report stock damages or losses to the Spare Parts Manager.
- Re-site duplicated stock.
- Manage a twice yearly stock audit
Workshop Organisation
- Monitor workshop contractor punctuality and attendance conformity.
- Confirm contractor time sheet accuracy on basis of above.
- Maintain an inventory of tools and monitor tooling requirements
- Manage the purchase of consumables as requested/required.
- Work with Quality manager to manage tool calibration
- Use the forklift truck when necessary to move goods.
- Assume responsibility as Fire Warden for the Workshop
- Assume responsibility as First Aider for the Workshop
- Assist the Workshop Build Fitter as and when necessary with pipework fitting (according to skill set)
- Under supervision, assist the Workshop Build Fitter with construction of Elchlor Cells
Workshop Housekeeping
- Maintain safe systems of working within the workshop.
- Carry out weekly visual inspection of equipment such as ladders
- Maintain efficient storage systems of chemicals and tools.
- Monitor individual adherence to all aspects of safe working in the workshop.
- With QA Manager, carry out regular audits to ensure safe working and to maintain agreed standards of housekeeping in the Workshop
