CAD Draughtsperson - Microstation V8i

Process equipment manufacturer – Burton Upon Trent

Contract role, £20 - £25 per hour PAYE / LTD

3-month contract with possible extensions.

This well-established process manufacturer is the market leader in its sector and following some significant project wins, they are going through a rapid growth phase. The design team are now starting to work on several new projects for their major clients, workload has increased and there is a real need to maintain the quality of product that it delivers. As a result, this company needs to recruit a CAD Draughtsperson to help with a conversion project immediately on a contract basis. The role of a CAD Draughtsperson will involve:

• Mechanical detailing in 2D on Microstation V8i and AutoCAD

• All pre-engineering is done, solely responsible for producing 2D layout drawings

• Layouts of piping, P&ID’s and ancillary equipment
• Conversion of 2D drawings on AutoCAD into Microstation
• Produce Bills of Material in conjunction with the drawings
• Liaise with internal teams

The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have the following experience:

• Mechanical Draughtsperson with Microstation and AutoCAD experience

• Experience completing detailed layout drawings

• Capability to layout conveyors and other machinery in an effective and methodical way

• Ideally own version of Microstation
• Creative ability and hardworking
