Connecting Talent to opportunity

Research Software Engineer

Expired

Job Description:

Reasearch Software Engineer (Python) Oxfordshire

Profectus have recently made an exclusive partnership with a cutting edge AI start up based in the Oxfordshire area who are developing a next-generation AI technology that expands the horizon of AI beyond data science and compute-dense infrastructure. Their neural network technology has been built from the ground-up to offer significantly higher "Capability per Watt" than current AI frameworks – meaning that they can pack more intelligence into smaller systems.

In addition to this, their approach allows them to build networks with the ability to learn and adapt while deployed. They have developed a fully functional "neuroplastic" neural network architecture. Neuroplasticity, considered a holy grail of AI development, allows the network to learn from mistakes and optimise its' performance. All this takes place without needing to retrain the network.

These two innovations allow them to target markets that current technologies are unable to access. They engineered their technology to target industrial optimisation, autonomous robotic systems and IoT applications. However, it is a general technology that can be applied in any area that current AI technologies are deployed.

They are looking for a passionate Research Software Engineer (RSE) that will sit in their AI & Software team and support the company with their customer projects. The job will involve working with their customers, providing RSE support where required, and assisting them with integrating their software into their workflows. When not occupied with customer-facing projects, this post will support the AI & Software team with the development of their internal AI framework.
