Sales Manager - Pumps / Valves - Food / Process Industries - Leeds /Yorkshire / Lincolnshire - Circa £45,000 + Bonus + Car + Fast-Track Career Progression 

Company and Role

White Label Recruitment are currently representing a highly successful Engineering company who specialise in pumps and valves into the process industries as they are now looking to recruit a Sales Manager to grow and build a team to cover the UK.  This is fantastic opportunity for the right candidate with career progression opportunities to become the Sales Director after a couple of years! 

Role and Responsibilities

  • This role will focus initially on developing new business
  • Identifying and closing opportunities for new business, involving lead generation and cold calling
  • Target the food and process industries and engineers within these
  • There is a huge market in Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire and the South East that needs developing
  • Identify hotspots within the market through business development during the first 6 months, and from this formulate a business plan to build a team of 3 Sale Engineers to cover the UK
  • Arrange and attend meetings UK wide to pitch for and secure new business
  • Calculate client quotations
  • Ensure targets are met
  • Develop a business plan for the next 2 years in line with the company’s growth plans

 Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the sales of pumps and/or valves
  • A proven track record of sales into mechanical engineering and process industries is highly desirable
  • An engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Have a good technical ability
  • An understanding and knowledge of flow rates and pressures, and calculations based on these are highly desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to developing new business
  • Have had longevity in previous companies
  • Need to be very personable, confident and driven
  • Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally, with strong negotiation skills
