Our client is a leading sustainability business looking to add a Sustainability Consultant to its expanding team. Our client provides commercially focused sustainability strategy, reporting, risk management, and performance services to some of the UK’s largest organisations.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and rapidly expanding sustainability consultancy, working with a diverse client base.

The successful candidate for the Senior Sustainability role will be expected to take a leading role in the development and delivery of our services within the Strategy, Reporting and Engagement team. The successful candidate will be a key senior figure in our growing business, with accountability for successful management of our large client accounts. The candidate will also be expected to show leadership in the continuous development of our products, with a particular focus on supply chain sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Influencing change within our clients to deliver our purpose of ‘Enabling a Global Low Carbon Economy’
• Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders both within Carbon Credentials and across our clients to ensure our services are valued and grown
• Working closely with product leads and senior management to further develop and deliver a clear, ambitious and actionable business plan to grow services within the Strategy, Reporting and Engagement team
• Product development and innovation to ensure that we maintain our industry-leading position
• Driving commercial opportunities and market-leading external content to ensure that the business is able to achieve its commercial objectives by working with business development and marketing teams
• Programme and project management for large and complex clients, with a focus on quality and timeliness of delivery
• Line management (if desired by the candidate)

About You

• At least four years of experience in sustainability and climate change, preferably within a consulting environment
• Excellent technical knowledge relating to our services, in particular, GHG quantification with a focus on Scope 3 and Life Cycle Analysis, sustainability strategy, sustainable procurement, and science-based targets
• The ability to effectively communicate with and influence external stakeholders and senior business leaders
• A high level of self-motivation and a commitment to personal growth
