Austin Fraser are working with a Fortune 500 company, the company specialises in the entire lifecycle of a trade and they are looking for a 50:50 hands off engineering manager to join their already experienced team.

General Duties:

* Participates in the entire lifecycle of software development
* implementing best practices and procedures
* Collaborating with the wider tech partners
* Lead technical teams

Key skills necessary are:

* Excellent knowledge of React
* Extensive software development experience in a commercial environment
* Experience in leading technical teams

Technologies used but not limited to:

* JavaScript (ES5/6) framework, preferably React or Angular 7
* TypeScript
* Redux
* Experience with containerisation – Docker/Kubernetes (on-prem, on-cloud)
* Experience with messaging technologies – Kafka (ideal)
* Experience with building micro-services using NodeJs (ideal), Java or .Net Core
* Deep understanding with architecture principles and design patterns
* In-depth understanding of Javascript, the DOM, and relevant concepts
* Proficiency with browser based debugging and performance testing
* Understanding of progressive web apps
* Experience with a testing framework (Jest/Mocha)
* Experience using Git
* Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and development and use of design patterns (SOLID)
* Worked in an Agile environment. Using Scrum, Kanban or similar methodology.
* Use of development and project tools such as; Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.

You’ll be starting immediately and taking on existing projects so need to be of a strong mindset of getting things done.
