Data Analyst – Gaming

Austin Fraser is recruiting for a Data Analyst with a passion for gaming or mobile games. The successful candidate will be instrumental in further building our client’s data-driven approach, and will ideally have an interest in working towards a career in advanced analytics or Data Science. This role would suit a recent graduate, or someone with 1 to 2 years of commercial experience.

Responsibilities:

* Develop & maintain queries and visualisations that help to monitor the performance and key metrics of our client’s games.
* Evaluate areas of game performance and variability to provide meaningful insights to drive decision making.
* Analyse player behaviour in order to improve game experience and encourage player retention.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
* Strong knowledge of data querying and extraction using Python and SQL.
* Confident data wrangling and modelling skills with an understanding of statistical and visualisation techniques.
* Natural problem solver with an ability to think both critically and creatively.
* Passion for Gaming, particularly free-to-play / in-app purchase mobile games.
