Lead/Senior IT Support Engineer – Windows, PowerShell Automation, Jira

To work for the market leading SaaS provider of technology to the Financial Services industry to be based in London. Within their industry they use innovative architecture technology to enable their clients to ensure a wider reach of their services in a more effective and efficient way through their extensive use of APi extensibility.
They are now looking for an experienced Senior/Lead IT Support Engineer (Powershell Automation) with extensive windows desktop application support and automation (PowerShell), with strong support experience to join their team. Their end user platform consists of tools such as O365, Azure AD, Duo Security, Zoom, Slack, Confluence and JIRA, and they are moving to an Azure managed workstation user deployment solution, to facilitate their ability to deploy to new locations and offer remote workers a first class user experience.

Key responsibilities

•    Full responsibility for successful operation of all user platforms,
•    Improvement to operating system build processes and user environment.
•    Delivery, operations, and management of platform security, including networks and endpoints.
•    Creation and automation of documented IT procedures and processes (using PowerShell).
•    Managing data security on the network via access control and encryption schemes.
•    Secure management of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and all other collaboration platforms 
    
Key tech skills

•    Virtualisation knowledge
•    Scripting languages (python, bash etc)
•    Jira and Confluence
•    Log management systems
•    Understanding of how to automate tasks within the automation platforms.
•    Creation of PowerShell scripts and SCCM task sequences.
•    Microsoft Windows platforms including Server and Windows 10.
•    Strong understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI stack.
•    Secure usage of Active Directory.
•    Office 365, AWS or Azure - Cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS).
•    Version and source control systems.
•    Knowledge of at least one configuration management system 
•    Administration and operation of a service desk tool ideally JIRA ServiceDesk.
