About the company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly professional, customer focused Property Manager, to join a well-established estate agent based in Stockport.

Our client has an excellent reputation within the market place, and the company particularly prides themselves on their high level of customer service and ability to stand out from their competitors. They are looking for someone who can mirror their passion about providing an exceptional level of service to support their growing client base.

This independent estate agent boasts a multiple branch network throughout Tameside, Stockport and Greater Manchester. They offer support with training to their employees and there is also the possibility of earning extra commission from referrals and hitting specific targets.

Main responsibilities:

As part of the property management team working at their busy head office in Stockport, your role is to manage a portfolio of residential properties on behalf of the landlords. You will also support the rest of the Property Management Department in their roles with the aim of providing a high level of customer service. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Processing applications and advising landlords as to the full background of applicants
  • Complete a move in appointment with the tenant
  • Dealing with Notices to Quit
  • Draw up appropriate legal documentation for renewed tenancies and liaise with landlords/tenants accordingly
  • Reporting maintenance issues to relevant persons and see through to completion of the repairs
  • Taking payments of rent and fees
  • Collect rent arrears, including processing claims online for recovery of rent arrears and liaise continually with all parties involved
  • Serve Section notices where required, adhering to the Housing Act 1988.
  • Arrange home-visits where required
  • Attend court for eviction cases where required
  • Ensure you properties are 100% compliant with legislation (GSC, EPC, Immigration)
  • Be the main point of contact for the landlords and tenants
  • General administrative duties ensuring all documents are filed and processes as required
  • Up-sell all internal promotions
  • Book appointments for the inspectors, mid-terms, in-going and outgoings
  • To help customers with any queries, via face to face, phone or email

The candidate:

  • Self-motivated
  • Confident and professional
  • At least 1 years’ experience in property management
  • Well-presented and highly organised
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Customer focused and hard working
  • Strong organisation skills
