Job Description:

Mechanical Estimator / M&E Estimator is required for our client an established supplier of ventilation and ducting services. They have been providing sales, design and installation over 20 years to the construction/ engineering sector, customers range from a broad spectrum within education, residential and medical to name a few.

The successful Mechanical and Electrical Estimator will be required to provide cost estimates and evaluations of tenders for new and existing projects, being able to review and work off technical drawings is a key element, so that quotations and tenders are accurate and completed to customers deadlines.

They will be required to attend site visits on occasions to complete project surveys, taking off quantities from specifications and assisting the operations team in larger projects.

Estimating projects typically between £20,000-£200,000+, this consists of the company’s full range of ventilation products such as, passive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, smoke extraction systems, fans, grills, louvers, natural ventilation and any associated controls/ BMS.

Mechanical Estimator Role

Proactively support all commercial activities to ensure they reflect business requirements.
Preparing monthly reports.
Producing contractor approvals.
Client focused attitude and approach.
The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
Time management.
Cost estimating and budget planning.
The role is a challenging position with significant scope to learn and grow within the company, you will play a pivotal role within the team and department.

Role Requirements and Qualifications

Full UK Driver’s License.
HNC/ HND or Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineer/ Building Services or equivalent.
Experience of M&E/ HVAC Estimating.

Mechanical Estimator Package

  • £30,000-£40,000 DOE
  • 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Company Pension 3%
