Hands on Technical Project Manager - SAP, Microsoft, Windows, Server, applications, bespoke hardware - NW Oxford - a quirky mixed role of hands on support, project management and business / project analysis.

Joining a smallish but valued IT team, this hybrid role will mix hands on project and support work, manage new and existing projects effectively and liaise with the business to understand and define requirements across a range of interesting and sometimes quirky technologies.

You'll wear a number of different hats over the course of a working month playing the role of a business analyst to help define requirements and turn them in to a technical project but also be a part of delivering that project and providing a bit of extra hands on support at times. Technology ranges from conventional IT, building on the SAP ERP solution but also some production and engineering technology systems and piloting and trialling other new technology and IT solutions.

Ideal applicants will come from a hands on technical background with experience of full project lifecycle and managing project workloads and dealing with senior stakeholders to define project requirements. You'll ideally have experience of most of the following -

• IT systems - basic Windows desktop, Servers, networks (to at least a 2ndline support level as there is escalation)
• SAP - troubleshooting issues, building (or another modular ERP solution and a willingness to transfer your knowledge)
• Troubleshooting and implementing bespoke applications and hardware (pretty desirable)
• Prince2 (certification desirable but a proper understanding of project management best practice and proceses)
• An appreciation of manufacturing or engineering environments (again desirable)
