Maintenance Engineer

Shifts:

4 on 4 off (days & nights, 6 till 6)

Location – Leiccestershire

Salary - £46,300 OTE £50,000

The Company

Our client specialises in the manufacture of products for the construction market. With sites across the UK, this multi-million-pound company are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established Engineering team.

Their Leicestershire site produces millions of bricks per year for the construction market and with the expected growth for new build this is set increase. To meet this demand the company have a number of continuous improvement and CAPEX projects both underway and planned.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all Electrical fault finding and rectification work on production systems on site. This would include fault finding through to component level with a multimeter or by interrogating the PLC via a laptop (Siemens S7), and replacing any faulty parts.

75% of the work will be focused on work from the reactive Maintenance dealing with breakdowns on components such as motors, sensors, inverters and further panel work.

Production equipment includes belt conveyors, kilns, robots and special purpose machines.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

• Must have previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.
• Must have a recognised Electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, ONC, HNC, HND).
• Must have experience working on automated process equipment.

Training

A significant training matrix will part of your induction process and during this period you would be partnered with one of the Senior Engineers who would be you mentor.
