The role

The technician role ensures the water treatment works are maintained which enables the effective production of safe drinking water. The M&E Technician will have particular focus on low voltage switchgear, motor drives, valves, gas dosing equipment, pneumatic plant, pumps and motors. Experience in inspecting, testing, maintaining, fault finding and repairing M&E equipment is desirable.

Qualifications

The role requires a skilled qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, and ideally you would have served a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field. Some work requires the applicant to work in confined spaces with the use of breathing apparatus (full training will be provided). A full driving licence is essential, and the successful applicant will be required to pass our driver assessment.
