Key Stage 3/4 Science Technician Required in East London!

Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge for a September Start?

UCM Education are looking for an enthusiastic KS3/4 Science Technician for one of our high achieving secondary schools in East London.


The successful KS3/4 Science Technician  will be working with children of mixed abilities. It is essential that you have good working knowledge of the KS3/KS4 curriculum and that you have experience in assisting teachers in the laboratory and supporting children in classrooms of mixed abilities. 

Requirements; 

  • Experience with reparation of materials and equipment for science lessons
  • Preparing experiments, setting up apparatus and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons as requested by teaching staff
  • Liaising with staff over use of equipment and stock
  • Maintaining laboratory clean and tidy in conjunction with the teacher in charge of the room
  • Taking stock of chemicals, consumables, stationery, books and breakable items
  • Advise Head of Subject on stock replacement needs
  • Keeping equipment clean
  • Looking after animals, insects and plants kept by the department
