As Azure Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, you will lead a team and plan, analyse, design, build, test and deploy enterprise Microsoft technology infrastructures in the Azure Public Cloud using PaaS and IaaS services. Your role will be focused on pre-sales primarily, engaging with clients to assist sales and account managers to create compelling solution-based proposals, demonstrations, RFI/RFPs, and implementation strategies that address a given customer need and business requirements. Your position will also be leading the development of the solution proposal and be the technical escalation point for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and continued evolution of modern software-defined infrastructure, software, and technology solutions on the Azure platform.

 

This position is with an established specialist consultancy renowned for their expertise in the Data and Analytics sector who are Microsoft Azure Gold Partner. Their expertise ranges across multiple technologies with large scale data analytics, warehousing and Big Data but is heavily involved in migrating services to cloud services (and most commonly Azure). In this organisation you will need to be able to quickly adapt to new environments and continually be learning the latest technology.

 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Build and Architect Microsoft Azure cloud solutions that are Innovative, Frictionless, Simple, and Secure.
  • Serve as a key contributor during Proof of Concepts (POCs), Proof of Technology(POTs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Understand and provide horizontal solutions around Azure cloud by developing reference architecture to achieve optimal results
  • Be able to architect and provision on-premise solutions in the cloud (such as Semarchy xDM, Informatica EDC), in an IaaS model
  • Serve as a Microsoft Azure Cloud subject matter expert in vetting design and security of new Azure capabilities that meet customer needs.
  • Be an Azure and cloud evangelist for the company, advising internally on the latest trends and where the stack is going.

Requirements:

  • Azure certification or commitment to obtain this within the first 6 months of joining
  • Experience in Pre-Sales
  • Significant depth of technical experience in a number of the key Azure Infrastructure services such as: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Hybrid Cloud/Data Center for enterprise level clients
  • Knowledge of the Private Cloud and Hybrid cloud configurations, patterns and practices
  • Ability to interpret faults and correlate events for problem determination within a varied and complex systems environment
  • Experience using diagnostic, monitoring, problem and change management tools
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Exceptional customer focus skills

Due to the nature of the consulting company this role offers huge career potential and progression. The role will be based from home though you’ll be frequently working with customers across the country most heavily in London and South East England so travel across the UK is inevitable and must be something you can live with.
