Profectus have partnered with a London based start-up who are focused on property, real estate advisory and transactions. They lead the market with an emphasis of family offices, high profile individuals, property investment funds and corporations who help to evaluate high yield, high capital growth investment opportunities.

They have a current requirement to onboard a Data Scientist with a particular specialism in GIS. They are looking for someone who can assist in programming, obtaining, processing and analysing various datasets.

Requirements:

• Expert with Python or R
• Database design and computer modelling
• Geospatial data analysis
• Demonstrated experience with machine learning for statistics, geospatial and command line applications
• An MSc or PhD in a related field – Computer Science, Geography, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics etc
• Develop and use dedicated Geographic information Systems (GIS) software to convert complex data into maps and 3D virtual models
• Experience with Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to define locations of features
• Geo-referencing maps and aerial photographs
• Utilising overhead images and aerial photographs to analyse fixed and moving images to determine what’s going on in the ground underneath
