HIGHWAY ASSET MANAGEMENT ENGINEER

SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Engineer to join our Highway & Structures Team on a local authority framework contract.

The successful candidate will support the team in the delivery of highway and structures projects. Design experience associated with highway and structures inspection, design and supervision of works is essential.

You will provide technical and site support to highway and structures inspections, design and supervision of works activities from initial feasibilities and surveys, through design and construction phases to supervision of works and as-built documentation.Good performance will be rewarded and there is opportunity for professional development and qualification, as well as, career progression within the local office.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Site Surveys
 Highway & Structures Inspections & Reporting
 Highway & Structures Design & Drafting (AutoCad)
 Highway & Structures Supervision of Works
 Specifications
 Report Preparation

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Qualification
 HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering

Experience
 2 years+ of highways design
 2 years+ of structures inspections
 2 years+ of AutoCad drafting
 Good understanding and applicationof current highway design codes andstandards
 Good understanding of current health and safety legislation

Skills
 Good Communicator
 Good written English
 Able to work under own initiative
