Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial enquiry, quotations stage to completion.
• Oversee and supervise jobs and ensure work is completed in a timely manner
• Manages and monitor machinists and fitters to ensure all activities are completed to the correct standard.
• Play an active role in producing quotations, 2D drawings, overseeing progress, quality inspection and maintaining levels of stock.
• Ensure machine maintenance
• Provide technical support to customers on products

What we are looking for…

• Strong Engineering background - Ideally apprenticeship trained
• Experience managing engineering staff - strong leadership skills
• Experience in precision machining
• Ability to read, understand and break down engineering drawings
• Estimating and quoting for work
• All aspects of managing workshop from overseeing jobs, purchase ordering, liaising with suppliers, machine maintenance, H&S, inspection of work
• Oversee projects and providing technical support to customers
• IT competence (excel, word, data entry, outlook as a basic, CAD)
