Electrical bias Maintenance Engineer
Panama days and nights
6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am
Bedford, Bedfordshire
£38,000 basic + Shift allowance = £42,000 with average earnings up to £45,000 PA

My client is looking for a Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer who has experience working within heavy industry. The role is vacant due to expansion within the business. They are growing from strength to strength and are looking to add even more members into the team within 3/6 months. This would be the ideal role for someone who likes training and development and someone who would be keen to have machine specific training. My client is from within manufacturing therefore, this role would require candidates to understand downtime and be familiar with fast moving environments. The company are keen with 5S, lean manufacturing and CI with root cause analysis happening regular on site.

The Role

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be required to work in three key areas within the Maintenance team, reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and installation / continuous improvement projects on the following equipment:

  • 3 phase motors (Star Delta).
  • Bucket Elevators.
  • Belt Conveyors.
  • Vacuum systems.
  • Pellet Presses.
  • Metal detectors.
  • X-Rays.
  • Check weighers.
  • Conveyor Systems.
  • Depositors.
  • Carton Erectors and Box Sealers.
  • Printers and Labellers.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:

  • Must have worked as an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer in a heavy environment or FMCG.
  • Must have electrical Level 3 qualification, ideally City & Guild and/or BTEC, apprenticeship.
