Nursery/ Early Years Teaching Assistant – Central London – Start ASAP!
Full-time/ Long term Contract
Up to £85 p/d
A two-form entry school in Wandsworth are looking for a SEN Support/Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery team and make a positive impact on a pupil in a 1:1 capacity. An empathetic, patient and encouraging approach will greatly benefit the pupil and their development.
Following their EHCP checklist, the SEN/Support Teaching Assistant will be supporting a child with Downs Syndrome focusing on enriching their speech and language ability.
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN/Support Teaching Assistant who:
- Has a strong understanding of SEN, specifically in Down Syndrome
- Effectively used techniques to encourage communication, confident with Makaton is essential
- Experience of sensory needs would be desirable
- Holds valid DBS/Police Checks
