We are looking for an individual with these skills and attributes to join HR Operations Resourcing Team as a Resourcing Delivery lead.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join the HR Operations Resourcing team at an exciting time as we deliver HMRC’s business as usual requirements and the additional resource needed to support UK Transition, alongside responding to significant changes to recruitment arising as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sitting within a mature recruitment operations team, the successful applicant will deliver results-oriented campaigns to recruit people into HMRC, focusing predominantly on large volume assignments, typically, 2-3k new external recruits annually.

This is a high profile and demanding leadership role that will give you experience of setting direction for your team, delivery planning, engaging key internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, delivering results to often challenging deadlines and liaising with senior leaders across HMRC.

• Coordinating delivery of multiple recruitment projects ensuring they achieve requisite business outcomes to agreed time, cost and quality.
• Being responsible for a team of 15-20 people across a range of grades, demonstrating excellent leadership behaviours, setting direction, planning and monitoring delivery throughout the life of each recruitment campaign.
• Work with the senior leadership to plan and allocate team resources flexing resource across teams as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other HR Operations teams and key partners across HMRC Customer Groups
• Engage with delivery partners to improve performance, keep projects on track and identify continuous improvement opportunities to ensure that each candidate journey is a positive experience.
• Identify and handle risks, issues, dependencies and constraints.
• Provide accurate performance data for Governance boards, so we can supply them with monthly performance reports.
• Support, coach and mentor team members, demonstrating leadership skills in line with the Civil Service Leadership Statement.
• Provide support and deputise for the Head of Resourcing Delivery when required.

Responsibilities Responsibilities and Essential Skills:

• Experience of resourcing and recruitment at scale in a large, matrix organisation – either direct for an organisation, or via a third party such as a Resourcing Process Outsourcing (RPO).
• Demonstrable track record of delivering sophisticated resourcing projects and of leading geographically dispersed teams whilst delivering at pace.
• Outstanding stakeholder engagements skills with evidence of communicating and Influencing them.
• Demonstrable experience in mentoring, leading and developing others.
• Experience developing a team and influencing others whilst maintaining a quality service.
• There will be a requirement for regular travel between Manchester, Nottingham Cardiff and London.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Operational leadership experience, ideally in a resourcing or HR environment.
• Hold a recognised HR qualification – e.g. CIPD or equivalent or be willing to work towards one.
