Youth Residential Support Assistant Required in Middlesbrough

Hello Education are looking for a reliable and trustworthy support assistant to work in a large residential educational setting in Middlesbrough.

The residential supports young people aged 9-19 with a wide range of complex behaviours and contributing to the development of the young person and enable them to reach their full potential, by providing a stimulating and varied lifestyle and environment. You must be flexible and approachable and most importantly have an empathetic approach in how you work.

As part of the role you will be responsible for the following but not limited to;

• Providing assistance with all domestic chores
• Personal Care
• Encouraging and enhancing independence
• Helping them access a wide range of activities
• Encouraging positive risk taking
• Liaising with families, carers and professionals
• Encouraging and rewarding good behaviour

Level 3 In Health and Social Care or equivalent is preferred but not fully essential if you have experience in a similar role.
