Connecting Talent to opportunity

Connecting Talent to opportunity

Organisation Design & Development Lead

Expired

Job Description:

Summary

HMRC is the UK's tax, payments and customs authority and we have a vital purpose: we collect the money that pays for the UK’s public services and help families and individuals with targeted financial support. Alongside this, HMRC has the ambition to transform the organisation so that it is a Great Place to Work for everyone.

Focusing on our culture is essential to the delivery of all HMRC’s strategic objectives. The published Respect at Work Review in 2019, and the current COVID19 pandemic, have both acted as accelerators for cultural change, uniting colleagues behind changes that need to occur in the way we operate and behave towards one another. The Respect at Work Programme has been established to implement the recommendations of the report. In the next phase of this work, the Culture and Behaviours Team will continue to build on the momentum already created to:

Embed our commitments, values and expectations into organisational strategic decision making so that the cultural impact of decisions is always considered.

Ensure HMRC’s standards are clear throughout the Employee Lifecycle.

Ensure Managers have the knowledge and tools to build an environment that is safe and trusting; where people feel valued, have a voice and act with autonomy.

Support the organisation to actively live Our Commitments, recognising when they are exhibited and confidently and effectively challenging when they are absent, at a strategic level, business level and individual/interpersonal everyday level.

Improve business outcomes and customer experience.
