Sector Development Specialist

Monday - Friday (Agile working environment depending on diary)

My client is looking to recruit a Sector Development Specialist to working alongside DIT Northern Powerhouse team to provide insights on the requirements of the sector and to develop clear understanding of the segmentation across the North (e.g. sub-sectors, company types, markets of interest, propensity to export)

Key Responsibilities

• Work with businesses, support organisations and DIT delivery partners across the North to develop, deploy and communicate a clear export support proposition for the sector, aligned to DIT export strategy as appropriate.

• Lead and support the key account management of larger, “Tier 1” businesses in the sector across the region and provide collaborative, sector specialist support for ITAs where appropriate to achieve outcomes as required by DIT.

• Guide sector strategy across the region in consultation with DIT sector teams, producing a sector plan for this industry sector in NPH to a defined DIT model, and supporting LEP/key stakeholder sector priorities. 
• Liaison with DIT overseas posts to identify and develop trade opportunities for sector businesses across the region in conjunction with ITA sector and market leads.
