Our payments application portfolio is undergoing a transformation programme that spans the next few years. We’re looking at what the biggest tech companies in the world are doing to help solve the huge complexities of our critical systems and embarking on a new chapter in our architectural thinking.

Our focus is shifting to concepts of event streams or event driven architectures. And we’re looking to utilise technologies such as Apache Kafka, NoSQL Databases and Microservices to build elastically scaling systems capable of handlings hundreds of thousands of events per second.

What you’ll be doing

To build this new vision we are looking to recruit a new team of Engineers, who have proven experience in Test Automation, who are agile thinkers and ready to help us learn and deliver new technologies and architectures.

For us, it’s not just about having the right technical background, you need to show good problem-solving skills, ability to think outside the box, providing work arounds and solutions to problems. Openly questions decisions and methods, lead, inspire and be a prominent voice for Test in the Agile teams.

Must have the ability to work autonomously and multi-task as well as coach and mentor junior team members in the best Agile practices and technology.

You’ll make valuable contributions through developing solutions in a highly collaborative environment and implementing them with your team, focusing on Test Automation.

- JMeter/ LOAD UI PRO (Performance)
- Experience of building Automation Frameworks from scratch is desirable

- Test Automation skills
- AWS/Azure Cloud
- REST API experience
- Swagger

- Kafka Messaging - Ideally experience of Kafka Stream Processing, Kafka
- Producer/Consumer API
- EKS/OpenShift
- Microservices ​ (State Based Events)
- SQL & SQL Server
- Experience with MongoDB (or other NoSQL Databases) ​
- Appreciation of DevOps, Containerisation (Docker and Kubernetes) ​
- Jenkins
- GitHub
- CI/CD Pipelines
- TDD/BDD
- Exploratory Testing
- Ideally should have Non-Functional testing experience (*Performance testing experience highly sought)
- Security/Pen testing – desirable
