The job:

1. Provide knowledge and expertise in the Diagnostic domain to support both internal and external stakeholders
2. Define on-board and off-board diagnostic requirements for automotive applications
3. Total vehicle development, systems architecture design, test and validation to Customer and internal processes
4. Analyse and solve electrical system problems and produce solutions meeting cost, quality andtiming targets.
5. Vehicle, System and Component Level Requirements Management, decomposition and Specification definition
6. Conducting and updating benchmarks of competitor vehicles and systems
7. Ensure legal regulations, norms & standards are captured and met
8. Model base systems engineering tools and processes for local and global business
9. Initial weight & cost investigations for responsible systems (eBoM)
10. Support LV/HV energy management calculations
11. Other tasks as assigned by manager

Requirements:

1. Background in Automotive systems - able to demonstrate Mechanical and
2. Electrical/Electronic knowledge
3. Familiarity with both LV and HV systems across multiple domains
4. Knowledge of (internal) automotive and V2X communication systems and network protocols
5. Specific knowledge of vehicle Diagnostic development (i.e. diagnostic strategy specification)
6. Specific knowledge of Diagnostic Services - specification, implementation, testing. UDS.
7. Familiarity with diagnostic implications for external systems (e.g. Extended / Remote Vehicle
8. Diagnostics)
9. Knowledge of Part 1 and Part 2 specification
10. Awareness of key standards relating to diagnostics
11. Great communication skills on all levels, ability to work with a truly diverse and global team
12. Degree in Engineering such as Computer Science, Electronics, or comparable is desirable
13. Experience of Diagnostic V&V - Planning skills highly desirable
14. Knowledge of ECU flashing
15. Production of quality documentation
16. Knowledge of Diagnostic Tools (e.g. Vector CANdela, etc)
