Job Description:
A leading service provider is requiring a Desktop Support Engineer to join them on a 6 month rolling contract in Bedfordshire.
Key Responsibilities:
The position involves monitoring and administering a ticket system ITSM (Service Requests, Incident and IMAC'S), contacting staff to resolve issues within the office and some field staff repairing devices and solving software issues and various deskside related tasks but in a walk-in service type capacity.
Key Tasks:
- General Desk Side Support type duties.
- Specific skills are required in MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Day to day support tasks to UK based mobile devices.
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Password Changes
- Desktop and Laptop Installation & Configurations
- Ticket Issue Management
- Software related issues
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Windows 10
- MS Office Suite / Office 365
- Active Directory Support & Administration
- Multi-Vendor Hardware Installations (DELL, HP etc.)
- Ideally hold some industry qualifications (MCDTS or MCSE)
Key Non-Technical Skills:
- Problem solving and analytical.
- Effective communicator (written and verbal)
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Very customer focused with a calm and clear support manner.
- Time management is a must to be successful in this role
- Office administration (Stock control, Office tidiness etc)
- Process driven environment, able to follow processes to the letter
Role paying up to £20 per hour LTD/Umbrella.
