This role is inside IR35 and will pay up to £421.06 per day (PAYE) or £553.51 per day (Umbrella)

The Agile Project Manager will work within the Marketing, Customer and Analytics (MCA) DevOps team in the IT department.

Day to day duties will include -

o Managing the delivery of features within a SCRUM/AGILE framework :

o Building both high level and detailed planning with internal/external parties

o Ensuring team members deliver against targets while working within an Agile framework

Overall program planning, macro level planning across multiple initiatives, ensuring:

  • Minimisation of resource contention
  • Clear communication of timelines and risks to stakeholders
  • Constant review of external impacts to initiatives
  • Reflection of changes to priority and scope (ensuring ongoing agile delivery)

o Monitoring internal and external progress against targets and initiating appropriate remedial actions, reporting and escalation as required

o Clearly defining resource "heat maps" for business departments affected by change to allow them to plan well in advance for period when staff are required full time/part time to support the project

o Planning and execution of project reviews & gateways aligned with ITPM and AWM (Agile) methodologies.

o Managing project risks, and project changes including the development of contingency plans

o Reporting through agreed reporting lines on project progress via Status Reports or regular meetings according to governance

o Day to day management and directing the technical analysts working on features

o Close liaison with the Business project lead / Product Owner to ensure both business requirements and priorities are clearly communicated

o Acting as single focal point of escalation (bi-directional) for IT issues related to the initiatives

o Creating deep relationships as primary contact for both central and international departments

o Production of all necessary collateral for Steering committees, stakeholder updates

o Day- to day support of the IT Head of DevOps - Customer, Marketing and Analytics

o Establishing and managing relationships with external provider project management

o Creating tender documents for external services and collaborate with the purchasing department in the award of the contracts including supporting documentation and approvals

Skills and Experience required -

  • Experience of leading large BI transformation initiatives using agile methodologies
  • Experience driving an IT professional scrum team using Amazon cloud development toolset
  • Experience driving an IT professional scrum team using automated testing, CI/CD (Gradle, Jenkins, Jira, Cucumber)
  • Good experience IT delivery roles working with varying team sizes in a complex operating structure with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in a personable and professional manner
  • Experience of preparing tender documentation for the external sourcing of components or entire solutions.
  • Experience of managing external service providers and the challenges associated with outsourcing
  • High technical awareness, particularly in BI/Data Analytics
  • High technical competence in use of professional tools including Jira, Confluence, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel
  • German language skills an advantage
  • Experience in premium automotive sector, with exposure to multiple functions (Sales, Aftersales, Marketing, Finance, Digital, Customer) would be a distinct advantage.
