Job Description:

Firmware engineer - C, ARM, Linux for embedded products electronics used in the entertainment industry including festivals (Coachella, Glastonbury, Download etc), movies (previous projects include Harry Potter, Star Wars and James Bond) as well as a variety of other events.

You will be working closely with the R&D team for a range of products and projects including off the shelf and completely bespoke new pieces of kit. You will be working on firmware for ARM architecture on the Linux platform. Architecting, specifying, designing, developing and testing embedded firmware solutions for products used in some of the coolest places in the world.

Key skills:

  • Industrial experience in Firmware Engineering

  • Strong experience of embedded C

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of ARM chipsets

  • C++ programming

  • Experience developing embedded software on Linux.

  • Hold a firm understanding of the development stages

  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team including hardware, application developers and production,
