HGV Class 1 Driver (s) Required – Colnbrook

We are excited to be recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for an organisation based in Colnbrook within close proximity to Heathrow Airport. Our customer is a worldwide organisation and their operation in Colnbrook specialises in the movement of recyclable material. The material is predominantly shredded plastic packaging that is converted into renewable energy.

Initially this contract is being offered on a temporary basis Monday to Thursday, although should you prove to be a responsible, reliable and professional candidate then there is an opportunity for this contract to be extended further with the view to becoming a permanent employee of our customer. . 

Due to the nature of the work, you would be expected to operate a hydraulic walking floor trailer - previous experience of this would be beneficial, however this is not essential as they will provide you with full training / induction. We / they are looking for someone that would like to further their professional experience by using this type of equipment and has a helpful, can-do attitude.

Company Requirements:

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Entitlement held for minimum of 12 months
• At least 6 months driving experience in an HGV Class 1 vehicle
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver Qualification (CPC) Card
• Maximum 6 points on licence – DR, DD or IN conviction codes will not be accepted
• Walking Floor trailer experience (preferred but not essential as training can be given)

Start times vary between 04:00 – 06:00 a typical working day will be 10 hours however duties are can be around the 15 hours a day mark.

We are offering the following rates of pay*:

£13.71 per hour Days (06:00 to 18:00)
£16.00 per hour Nights (18:00 to 06:00) & Saturdays

*Rates shown are via Umbrella Payroll Company or Limited Company .
