As Azure Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, you’ll be responsible for leading multi-skilled agile teams to design and deliver high quality solutions which delight our customers and impact the lives of users worldwide. You’ll work directly with customers and on formal bids to prove, architect, design and support build of cloud data platforms, advising on estimated effort, sizing, network, firewall, vpn and technical implications and complexity surrounding your designs. As a technical leader, you will work with your peers to platform templates for go to market propositions and requested customer solutions. You will share knowledge, lead and mentor those around you. You’ll do this whilst advising about new technologies and approaches, with room to learn, develop and grow.

This position is with an established specialist consultancy renowned for their expertise in the Data and Analytics sector who are Microsoft Azure Gold Partner. Their expertise ranges across multiple technologies with large scale data analytics, warehousing and Big Data but is heavily involved in migrating services to cloud services (and most commonly Azure). In this organisation you will need to be able to quickly adapt to new environments and continually be learning the latest technology.

Essential Experience:

• Expertise in and to have successfully designed and architected cloud infrastructure for data platforms
• Understands whole solution architecture concepts and can communicate and negotiate these with customer architects or business leads.
• Can prioritise non-functional concerns for customers and incorporate them into the platform design.
• Expertise in using Azure to build solutions specifically focused on Data Lakes, Data warehouse and data science implementations.
• Able to simply and clearly communicate technical design in conversation, documentation and presentations.
• Able to make effective decisions within a customer facing environment
• Experience mentoring and coaching members of your team and wider community
• Active participation in knowledge sharing activities, both within the team and at a wider capability level and externally where appropriate.

Desirable Experience:

• Proven experience being accountable for all sizes of technology delivery challenges, e.g. project, multi-team programme.
• Has pro-actively developed business across an account with sales and account managers.
• Able to prioritise their time across multiple major projects.
• Actively shares their thoughts and views on technology.
• Has participated in technology communities.
• Certifications: Azure Engineer, Azure Architect, Azure Administrator

Due to the nature of the consulting company this role offers huge career potential and progression. The role will be based from home though you’ll be frequently working with customers across the country most heavily in London and South East England so travel across the UK is inevitable and must be something you can live with.
